As part of NY AEE's monthly educational series, January's meeting will present the latest thinking from industry experts on 'why and how' American corporations are undergoing initiatives to reduce their carbon impact. Our speaker list includes representatives from a green energy supplier, a corporate sustainability consulting firm and a corporate real estate owner/operator.

Presentation topics will include:

  • why companies are dedicating sigificant resources to reducing their carbon footprint
  • brief history of "corporate social responsibility" leading to current climate for greening of corporations
  • the economic costs and benefits from implementing a carbon mitigation strategy
  • discussion of strategies to reduce carbon emissions
