Subject Matter:

Finding balanced system in facilities is still a rare occurrence. It may be because of tedious work required to get the system balanced. In a large and complex system, if not approached properly, it can be like dog chasing its tail. Unbalanced system not only waste energy, but they also lead to comfort issues.

We will hear from two experts who will bring wealth of experience in steam, waterside, and airside balancing. Jonathan Flothow is an expert in steam balancing. He will discuss his approach to balancing steam systems, which are notoriously imbalanced in most of the NYC buildings. His approach and solutions not only results in enormous energy savings, but also leads to greater comfort.

Jeff Sadoff will discuss how his company approaches waterside and airside balancing in their clients' facilities. Jeff will share with us what information he gathers, why, how he uses that information to achieve desired outcome. Again, waterside and airside balancing not only provide great energy savings but more importantly it greatly improves occupant comfort. He will also present few case studies of the completed projects, including major health facility in NYC.
