Subject Matter:

The new 2016 NYC Energy Conservation Code goes live October 3rd.

This session will delve into the numerous changes that encompass the 2016 NYS Energy Conservation Construction Code and specifically New York City Energy Conservation Code amendments. This will include important updates to building envelope, MEP systems, and lighting requirements as it relates to new construction, renovation, and maintenance of existing buildings.

Presentations will provide background on the code cycle and the underlying standard (ASHRAE 90.1-2013) and the model commercial building code (2015 IECC) references. We will touch on the future of the energy code, regulation, and enforcement.
