Subject Matter:

Can Building Automation Systems deliver on the promise of a fully optimized and efficient building? This evening’s program will provide insight into the features, capabilities and functions that are part of a new, information-based paradigm in the Building Automation/Management System industry. Speakers will review such topics as data trending and extraction, development of key performance indicators (KPI) for on-going monitoring of system performance, data visualization, dashboards and fault-detection diagnostics.

Such capabilities can be accomplished by fully new BAS installations but in many cases existing systems can be up-graded at much lower cost. We will hear about incentives available from NYSERDA’s Real-Time Energy Management (RTEM) program. We will also present the barriers encountered in up-grade decisions, and if there is a need in the marketplace for a “minimum standard of care” to provide baseline assurance to purchase decision-makers.
