The second session in our Electrification series will discuss technical issues and problems encountered by energy designers and project developers with electrification of existing commercial and industrial buildings in New York.  The session will also include an overview of the incentives available for electrification projects in the Con Edison service area.

Speakers and their subject matter include:

Stephen Condie, Chief Technology Officer & Head of Operations, Noventa Energy Partners and Lukas Glaspell, Account Manager with Trane present the carbon reduction energy solution and the difficulties encountered with electrification of wastewater treatment plant.

Robert Peras, Trade Ally Manager, C&I Programs, Con Edison will discuss the Clean Heating and Cooling program incentives.

Nick Hesser, PE, Project Manager, Willdan Energy Solutions will speak about the conflict between equipment sizing requirements and Clean Heating and Cooling incentive program criteria encountered when electrifying a small commercial office building.

Tom Sahagian, Energy Consultant will present the many lessons learned converting a multifamily apartment building from steam heating to electric heat pumps.
