About The Event
Webinar Overview:
New York State and New York City have enacted legislation to reduce carbon emissions in buildings and, in some cases, fining building owners who use fossil fuels. This legislation is driving the electrification of building heating, cooling and domestic hot water.
Our speakers will address changes and proposed changes to current laws and regulations seeking to electrify energy consumption and instituting improvements to the environment, including a discussing of a pending bill in the City Council to eliminate the use of natural gas for heating and other purposes in New York City buildings.
Speakers:
Greg Hale, Senior Advisor for Energy Efficiency Markets, NYSERDA
John Lee, Codes and Standards, Contractor to NYSERDA
Pete Sikora, Senior Advisor, New York Committee for Change
Richard Leigh, Visiting Professor of Physics, Pratt Institute
No CEUs will be awarded.
