2024 AEE Scholarship

The Association of Energy Engineers NY Chapter sponsors qualified student candidates for AEE Foundation scholarships, ranging from $500 up to $2,000. If you know a qualified and deserving student, please forward this information and encourage them to apply. 

Scholarship Details

Eligibility

AEE NY Chapter will screen and submit qualified candidates to the AEE Scholarship Foundation for consideration.

 

Each Chapter may submit up to six nominees. Scholarships are available to undergraduate or graduate degree candidates at accredited colleges or universities who are enrolled in engineering programs with a focus on energy engineering or energy/sustainability management.

Application Checklist

Submit the following documents in PDF form to your local AEE Chapter (RobertTMeier@gmail.com). Only complete application packages (items 1-4 minimum) will be considered.

  1. AEE Student Application

  2. Current Transcript: Unofficial transcripts are OK if they indicate dates, name of the school and complete student identification.

  3. Essay: 100 – 300 word essay indicating why you want to pursue a career in the energy industry, your real financial need, and what your professional/personal goals are.

  4. Personal Recommendation Letter: This could come from a school faculty member, corporate, or non-profit entities. No more than 2 letters of recommendation per applicant.

  5. Additional Documentation: You can provide additional information on any awards you've received, volunteer records, or other relevant experience you want us to consider with your application (no more than 2 pages).

Important Information

Scholarship Applications are being accepted by the NY Chapter through April 18, 2024. Once sent to the AEE Foundation, the applicants and Chapter Scholarship Chairs will be notified of the results by U.S. mail and the list of recipients will be published in August, 2024.

Early in 2024, a new call for applications will begin. The application form can be found at AEE Student Application.
