AEE NY Chapter will screen and submit qualified candidates to the AEE Scholarship Foundation for consideration.

 

Each Chapter may submit up to six nominees. Scholarships are available to undergraduate or graduate degree candidates at accredited colleges or universities who are enrolled in engineering programs with a focus on energy engineering or energy/sustainability management.

Submit the following documents in PDF form to your local AEE Chapter.  Only complete application packages (items 1-4 minimum) will be considered.
 

1. AEE Student Application

2. Current Transcript: Unofficial transcripts are OK if they indicate dates, name of the school and complete student identification.

3. Essay: 100 – 300 word essay indicating why you want to pursue a career in the energy industry, your real financial need, and what your professional/personal goals are.

4. Personal Recommendation Letter: This could come from a school faculty member, corporate, or non-profit entities. No more than 2 letters of recommendation per applicant.

5. Additional Documentation: You can provide additional information on any awards you've received, volunteer records, or other relevant experience you want us to consider with your application (no more than 2 pages).

Scholarship Applications were accepted by the NY Chapter through April 15, 2022. They have since been sent to the AEE Foundation, which will notify applicants and Chapter Scholarship Chairs of results by U.S. mail and publish the list of recipients in August, 2022.
