For this specific role, on behalf of DEM, CUNY BPL seeks to hire a Director, Business Systems to help reduce emissions and energy consumption across the City by overseeing and unifying technology systems and data management procedures across the entirety of the division, which will help ensure compliance with the new emissions reduction mandates set by Local Law 97.

Open Positions at Department of Energy Management
The City of New York is hiring for Agency Chief Decarbonization Officers (ACDO) across multiple City agencies to elevate and streamline decarbonization in our government operations. The ACDO will be accountable for directing all efforts to reach the NYC agency’s decarbonization targets mandated by Local Law 97. They will serve as an executive-level strategist, partnering with agency leadership and staff, as well as the City’s Chief Decarbonization Officer at DCAS, to fully embed energy efficiency and decarbonization considerations into agency policy, operations, and capital planning.
